P5T7 Never Gonna Give You Up from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Well our team for this music video is Denae, Sophia, Eden and I.  We all seem to work together pretty well but we have our ups and downs just like every other team.  Lets start with what each of us do to help the rest of our team to finish this difficult but fun project.  First off Denae.  Denae is a great worker and she works incredible hard to contribute to the team.  I'm not picking favorites or anything but Denae was probably the one who worked the hardest so far.  For example, we had to present our production plan to the whole class she saved our butts by staying up late to just start the production plan, then we all pitched in to help perfect the production plan.  Now for Sophia.  She has been working hard too, but she seems to have a lot going on and is having a hard time to meet with the team and film.  However when she does have the time she works hard and fast and tries her hardest to get the job done.  Last but not least Eden.  Eden is really busy at the moment and is missing days of school because she has family to deal with, but she is a really fast editor so I think that being able to edit fast is going to help the team finish on time, when there is going to be no extension to the due date this time.

I have to say our Music video has many funny parts and so so so many bloopers with it.  There is one part that is just so funny and I  think the audience will love.  That part is when Denae (my friend in the video) is trying to get me to give up my toys and I don't want to.  So I kick the donation box away and hug my toys.  Now I know that this may sound extremely cheesy but it would be funny since we are not those little 4 year olds' that would do that.  It is also really funny to us because it took so many tries to get it right and we were in the hot sun really tired so it took us so long to get it right.  One time in the middle of one take we wanted to make the donation box look full so we put our backpacks not realizing how much they weigh.  Once Sophia, (the person who was filming) said, "Go!" Denae pushed the box towards me and I did what I was supposed to do and I looked up at her then looked at the box then kicked the box away,  the box with the backpacks in it and my slipper flew off and the box moved like one inch and we all started laughing so  hard.  So that is why I think that particular part is going to be the most hilarious part of our music video this time.

Well our music shows a lot of what we learned because its our last project of the year!!!  We get to do a lot of what WE want to do so it is so much fun!  First off our last project was an animation project which took a long time, but we learned a whole lot that's for sure.  So we wanted to incorporate some animation into our video too.  We are incorporating animation into our  music video is when we show the blooper sign in styks. Another way our music video shows what we learned this year is all of the effects.  We plan to put a lot of the effects that there are in imovie, such as making it look very sad.  And finally we decided that making a movie poster picture in photoshop would be best way of showing what we learned this passed year.  Our picture that we made was with me and my friend and teammate Denae.  We are each grabbing one side of the teddy bear and trying to pull it out of the others hand with the donation box in the middle of us.  And that was a little bit about our last G.T project, Music Videos.

Hi, as you know, I am a G.T student at Kapa'a Middle School and we just started a new video project.  We are making a music video and Right now we are trying to figure out what song my group is doing.  Right now we are just putting ideas out for songs. My song that I really like and would like to do is Try by Colbie Caillat.  She is pretty much my favorite singer song writer of all time.  She Tells stories that many people can relate to through music, and I think that she is the only singer that I like all of her songs.  Her song, Try, makes me feel that I should be proud of who I am and appreciate what I have. And that is why, Try, is my favorite song.

However the song that my group and I decided on was Never Gonna Give You Up, by Rick Astley.  We chose this song because we wanted to do a song that nobody else would even think of.  This song is not really old, but it is not new, its not something that a teenager today would have on their phone or something like that.  We also chose this song because we all really just have a god time when we listen to it, and to me I think that it has a good, catchy beat to it too.  I really like this song and I think people will be pretty surprised at what we chose.  Also, this song gives a good massage too.  That is why we chose the song Never gonna give you up.

The visual story that our song has in this project is explaining what the artist is trying to get across, which is saying to the girl that he loves that he will never leave her.  However we will get this massage across by relating to kids and there toys.  Basically we are going to make it seem that the kids are saying I'm never gonna give you up to there toys.  When he says never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, we are all going to be singing and dancing with our toys and we might add a green screen filled with teddy bears too.  That is what we are going to do to try to relate to our audience.  We chose to do this because we did not want to make it too serious and dramatic so we decided to make it kiddish with a lesson, being its ok to let go of something you love.  And that is the final plan of our G.T project, Music videos.
