Hi, as you know, I am a G.T student at Kapa'a Middle School and we just started a new video project. We are making a music video and Right now we are trying to figure out what song my group is doing. Right now we are just putting ideas out for songs. My song that I really like and would like to do is Try by Colbie Caillat. She is pretty much my favorite singer song writer of all time. She Tells stories that many people can relate to through music, and I think that she is the only singer that I like all of her songs. Her song, Try, makes me feel that I should be proud of who I am and appreciate what I have. And that is why, Try, is my favorite song.
However the song that my group and I decided on was Never Gonna Give You Up, by Rick Astley. We chose this song because we wanted to do a song that nobody else would even think of. This song is not really old, but it is not new, its not something that a teenager today would have on their phone or something like that. We also chose this song because we all really just have a god time when we listen to it, and to me I think that it has a good, catchy beat to it too. I really like this song and I think people will be pretty surprised at what we chose. Also, this song gives a good massage too. That is why we chose the song Never gonna give you up.
The visual story that our song has in this project is explaining what the artist is trying to get across, which is saying to the girl that he loves that he will never leave her. However we will get this massage across by relating to kids and there toys. Basically we are going to make it seem that the kids are saying I'm never gonna give you up to there toys. When he says never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, we are all going to be singing and dancing with our toys and we might add a green screen filled with teddy bears too. That is what we are going to do to try to relate to our audience. We chose to do this because we did not want to make it too serious and dramatic so we decided to make it kiddish with a lesson, being its ok to let go of something you love. And that is the final plan of our G.T project, Music videos.
